Alife
It is hard to imagine a streetwear scene without mentioning New York City staple Alife. They are pioneers in the world of street culture, design, art, brand collaborations, merchandising, and marketing. Founded when owners "got sick of making money and ideas for other people", Alife took off as a fresh breath in the New York retail air.
Alife, along with aNYthing, Supreme, and 10 Deep, are considered the major underground street labels that have found the most success as the streetwear scene has evolved.
Alife embodies street boutique culture and continues to produce original, fresh designs as the streetwear movement marches on. They are a highly sought-after collaborator, creating notable collabs such as the Alife x Asics Gell Lyte 3, Alife x Penfield Goose Down, Alife x Timberland, and numerous collaborations with members of the Wu-Tang Clan.
They are also known for collaborative events, such as the Alife Sessions, which place together unlike musical artists to create one-of-a-kind musical performance. Past sessions include Q-Tip and Moby, as well as Just Blaze and John Mayer.
